This net art project, made by writing html, requires the web to exist and function. Each page of the project is one piece of a visual representation of a Dadaist poem connected by links. The poem reads: The ballad of the earth and the moon.
When reading the poem, I imagined the Earth and Moon were connected by music. This idea reminded me of fantasy stories and I wanted to represent both those ideas. The project starts off on an open book, that looks old and worn, with one word written down using a quill to begin the story. The compositions on the pages that follow are more abstract and whimsical than the first. The idea of the book comes back in the third image with the top left corner being a ripped piece of paper. I imagined that the story was coming alive on the pages of the book. Elements found in nature were heavily used in this project.
