The Mind Body Spirit Project
Statement
This project is themed around my mind, body, and spirit. Each individual word represented in a photoshop collage using images found on the internet that I think represents each part of myself. During the brainstorming phase, I stumbled upon these pictures of wood, and this allowed me to produce the idea of each collage being the desk of each part of myself. Mind is technical represented by the grid, books, and spiderweb, but addressing the freeform thinking part with the mushrooms and butterflies. The magazine letters are the literal form of scatterbrained. Body is very literal with the bloody red fruit showing physical flesh but femininity. Spirit is free and bubbly. For this part of the project, I focused less of symbolism and more of the vibes it produced. This collage triptych created represents my whole being through showcasing mind, body, and spirit.
