My inspiration painting for this project was Composition no. 10, by Piet Mondriaan, 1939-1942. While the original painting consists of oil on canvas, this rendition has been created using solely HTML. The painting itself is seen having of a variety of horizontal and vertical black lines on a white background, most of which span the canvas in its entirety, intersecting often, along with a few varied rectangles in the primary colors of blue, yellow and red, only being used on the borders of the painting. Due to its inherent geometric nature, this painting was optimal for being transferred over into the digital realm through the use of HTML.
