Foliage Study

This piece was a quick study I did to practice my my grass, plants, and foliage rendering skills. My reference was a screenshot from Studio Ghibli's: Princess Mononoke (one of my favorite movies). I love painting green things like plants, and I was particularly proud of this one because I matched all the colors myself instead of using the color picker. I also went for a more traditional watercolor/gouache painted look. Below is the original and the greyscale.
