artist statement
in this project, i wanted to delve into an industrial
dystopian future where
a rogue AI has taken over. i wanted to explore the potentially drastic, worst-
case scenario consequences of advanced / sentient AI development. "metal
is god" reflects a world indicative of that.
logically, i understand the massive benefits of AI development, but at the
same time it evokes a sense of dread in me. i used this project to explore that
dread and try to better understand its origin.
while i doubt the consequences of ai would ever be as drastic as they are in
this, i found it interesting to explore a genuine worst case scenario.
