I screamed and the cat jumped a little. "Oh, don't scream at me." she said, coming closer to where I was still on the ground. "What do you mean don't scream? There's a cat currently speaking to me in english!" I replied. The cat paused and looked to the side in an oddly humanlike way before agreeing "Well, this would be a little odd from a human's point of view. But anyway, I need some help with something." The cat explained to me that she needs help with finding her little mouse toy. She said it was a gift from a kind human who used to take care of her before they moved away. I decided to agree to help this strange cat, and it didn't seem like a particularly hard task. I was mistaken.
