I've decided to recreate the piece "Rose Horizontal" by Bridget Riley. I was drawn to this piece because of her use of color. Riley's pieces may seem mundane due to their very mechanical nature, but her choice and command of color is so compelling that there is so much life in such an otherwise simple piece.
I've recreated this piece through the use of CSS using individual rectagles to create each line in the piece, all on top of the grey of the original matboard and frame.
