This project is based on the sentence, "Tokyo's chrysanthemums: 5 chapters and death." It is a somewhat obscure phrase, so I chose to take an imaginative approach and draw my own pictures to tell a short story. I incorporated 5 different themes in which chrysanthemums are known to symbolize and dedicated a page to each of them. Throughout the project, I used different types of Japanese fonts, decoration patterns, and typography to create a graphic look.
