The image above is a css painting of Bridget Riley's piece "Serpentine," (1999). An image of the original piece can be viewed here. Originally a color screen print measuring 10 inches by 10 inches, the piece has been recreated into a 800px by 800px format. "Serpentine" consists of nineteen vertically arranged stripes of color laid in a square composition. The six vibrant colors stand out when placed next to each other and many are varied in width.
