What we are looking at is a painting titled KA 2 that was created by a well-known English painter named Bridget Riley. She created this piece in 1980 on linen using oil paint. I used CSS to replicate Riley's beautiful artwork. The viewer is seeing a pattern of 35 happy colored rectangles vertically lined up together to create wonderful repetition. It is a very engaging abstraction that makes it quite satisfying to look at. This piece really stood out to me because of the simplicity and the gorgeous color palette. It was very fascinating to learn that it was painting that was not created on basic canvas material, but more of a clothlike linen.
